Tumbler Care Instructions
Keep your tumbler looking fabulous and sparkling for as long as possible.
Every tumbler from The Sassy Tortie is handmade with care. Please follow these instructions to protect the finish, decoration, lid, and snow globe components.
Everyday Care
- Hand wash only with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
- Wash before first use.
- Dry thoroughly after washing.
- Store with the lid removed so the tumbler can air out.
- Clean the lid and straw separately.
- Handle decorative lids, charms, and straw toppers gently.
- Stop using the tumbler if you notice cracking, leaking, or damage to the seal.
Please Do Not
- Do not place in the dishwasher.
- Do not microwave.
- Do not soak or submerge for extended periods.
- Do not place in the freezer.
- Do not expose the tumbler to extreme heat.
- Do not leave it inside a hot vehicle.
- Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, or rough scrubbers.
- Do not drop or forcefully shake the tumbler if it is a lava cup.
- Do not pick at decals, seams, rhinestones, or decorative elements.
Glitter Snow Globe Tumbler Care
Glitter snow globe tumblers contain a handmade glitter solution inside the tumbler walls.
- Unlike our lava tumblers, glitter tumblers may be gently shaken whenever you'd like to redistribute the glitter. Watch the sparkle come to life as the glitter slowly cascades back into place.
- Small air bubbles may appear due to temperature or pressure changes.
- Keep the tumbler upright when it is not being used.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as the solution can evaporate over time.
- Do not leave the tumbler in freezing or extremely hot temperatures.
- Stop using the tumbler if you notice cracking, leaking, or damage to the seal.
A Note About Temperatures
Movement can change slightly with temperature. The solution may move more slowly when cold and more quickly when warm. This is normal for handmade snow globe tumblers.
Acrylic and Decorative Lids
- Hand wash gently.
- Do not soak.
- Do not place in the dishwasher.
- Avoid dropping decorative lids and toppers.
- Keep epoxy, resin, acrylic pieces, and charms away from extreme heat.
- Do not lift or carry the tumbler by the lid or topper.
Stainless Steel Tumblers
- Do not microwave.
- Do not freeze.
- Avoid sudden extreme temperature changes.
- Use caution with hot beverages.
- Make sure the lid is securely attached before drinking or transporting.
Important Safety Information
- Inspect the tumbler, lid, straw, and decorative pieces before use.
- Discontinue use if any part becomes cracked, loose, sharp, or damaged.
- Small decorative pieces may present a choking hazard.
- Children should use decorative tumblers with adult supervision.
- Never allow a child to chew on straw toppers, charms, lids, or other accessories.
